DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Reports quality, key issues with the utmost proficiency. Approaches game testing uniquely and with enthusiasm. Responsible for providing support in execution of debug-related tasks in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Researches, creates, and maintains metrics for projects and testing teams. Provides mentorship and guidance to other testers. There is a high emphasis on quality and customer service.

  • Produces an extraordinary quantity of quality, high value bugs
  • Provides on-going support and mentorship to other testing members
  • Regularly assesses performance of individuals on testing teams for exceptional testing aptitude
  • Participates in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process
  • Meets with business partners, project managers and developers to determine project scope, set project goals, identify and resolve workflow issues, and prioritization of testing team’s work
  • Defines, analyzes and evaluates software functions and makes risk management recommendations to developers on process improvements
  • Creates tools/spreadsheets to assist with record tracking and analytical research
  • Develops testing scenarios that address regression testing, black box testing, and product usability
  • Provides project management assistance and participates in meetings/conference calls
  • Reports progress on project milestones and deliverables, creates reports as needed
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Coordinates with internal and external groups to ensure standardized testing processes
  • Ensures execution of daily tasks with test teams
  • Edits and proofs bug write-ups
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external contacts
  • Actively supports a positive work culture and environment
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum four years of professional testing experience, or equivalent demonstration of testing ability
  • Strong game play ability, knowledge of video games and hardware platforms
  • Expert level qualitative and quantitative testing proficiency, ability to efficiently and effectively identify software problems
  • High proficiency utilizing and administrating bug tracking software
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, problem solving and cross-group collaboration
  • Strong PC and Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Ability to work independently, in a team and collaborate across groups
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Training in programming and/or electronics preferred
  • Valid Passport
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, domestic and international
