QA Tester Quality Assurance
We’re looking for an experienced QA Tester to join our growing Platform team. As a Platform QA tester you will work with developers and producers to ensure that our tools and services are able to scale efficiently to meet the needs of game developers and publishers across our global studio network. You will help drive the quality testing of large-scale ecommerce, account management, and other critical services.
The goal of the Platform team at Wargaming is to increase player happiness, decrease development costs and reduce the hurdles to publishing new titles. We seek to accomplish this by creating a common set of scalable, data-centric services and tools. Once implemented across Wargaming, developers will be able to release new products and major features in weeks rather than months. Publishing teams will have access to a greater level of account management and monetization options including player-customized, rule-based advance commerce. The services developed by our Platform team enable the global distribution and operation of all Wargaming studios, and connect us to our 100 million+ fans.
What you will do:
- Test highly scalable web services for a new game development and distribution platform
- Put your experience in Selenium, JavaScript, React, Node.JS and other tools/frameworks to good use on a daily basis
- Work closely with developers and producers, and be a continual advocate for QA best practices
- Bring your years of experience in testing highly scalable web services/tools such as ecommerce, CMS and similar systems to the field of video game tool development
Requirements:
- Experience conducting manual and automated QA testing of web based services/products
- Strong experience in Selenium and JavaScript as well as web frameworks such as React or Node.js
- Prior experience partnering with engineers, product managers/producers and UI/UX designers
- Knowledge of current best practices with regard to web testing concepts, browser testing and REST/RPC architectures
Desirable:
- Java experience a plus
- An interest in video game tool development (but please note that this is NOT a game testing role)
- Â Knowledge of server side testing
