KingsIsle Entertainment is currently looking for a Contract QA Tester to work on Mobile Video Game development. We are the creators of the popular and critically acclaimed Wizard101 and Pirate101, which together have garnered over 50 Million registered players to date, and are two of the fastest growing websites in the U.S. This is an opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing and highly successful entertainment company.

Responsibilities

• Test new mobile games on iOS and Android devices
• Create detailed defect tickets to track errors to resolution
• Execute and maintain test plans to assure development that builds are ready for mass consumption
• Document issues that appear in-game in a detailed manner and work with development to fix issues as needed

Requirements

• Structured testing - 6 months
• Critical thinking
• Attention to detail
• Excellent personal presentation, oral, and written skills

Preferences

• Associate’s degree from an accredited university
• Experience with automated testing
• Technical understanding of development process and key components to facilitate defect detection and reporting
• Knowledge of and experience with full-cycle software development and testing methodology
• Knowledge of database reporting techniques
• Experience in client/server software quality assurance
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment or as an individual contributor
• Prior experience with game development process and/or shipped titles
